Traditional advertising part 2

Radio ads are a good way to reach a big crowd, they usually last between 20-60 seconds and can be extremely entertaining. People can listen to the radio in their houses, cars, on their phones et cetera. FM & AM signals are stronger than they were when they were first introduced and allow stations to reach a wider audience.

Ads such as this are what make Television ads so memorable and popular. Sadly they are also extremely expensive and if we look at the lifespan of advertising in general, TV ads are still quite young.
Unfortunately as much as we all love a good TV ad the amount of money needed to produce and buy media space for one make it the most expense medium that a business can use.

These two methods aren't without their limitations, when people use radios they are often listening to CD's or in newer cars have their Ipods/MP3 players or phones docked to the car speakers, and if they are listening to radio stations they may skip to other stations once commercials start playing. Televisions commercials are only seen when a person is watching TV live, with the ability to record your shows and having on demand services people don't have to worry about sitting and watching ads when they want to be watching their shows.
